Description Anacin is an over-the-counter (OTC) pain reliever that contains: Aspirin (300 mg) – A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain, inflammation, and fever. It is commonly used to treat: Headaches (including tension headaches and migraines) Muscle pain Minor arthritis pain Menstrual cramps Toothaches Cold and flu symptoms 2. Dosage & How to Use Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 2 tablets every 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 12: Not recommended due to the risk of Reye’s syndrome (a rare but serious condition affecting the brain and liver). Always take with a full glass of water. Avoid taking on an empty stomach to prevent stomach irritation. 3. Side Effects Common side effects: Upset stomach or heartburn Increased heart rate (due to caffeine) Mild nausea Serious side effects (seek medical attention immediately): Stomach bleeding (black or bloody stools, vomiting blood) Severe dizziness or fainting Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) Signs of an allergic reaction (rash, swelling, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing) 4.
