Description Indications: It’s indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate infections caused by designated, susceptible bacteria, such as: Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in adults Acute bacterial sinusitis in adults Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections in adults Urethritis and cervicitis in adults Genital ulcer disease in men Acute otitis media in pediatric patients (6 months of age and older) Community-acquired pneumonia in adults and pediatric patients (6 months of age and older) Dosage: Pediatric dosages vary based on the condition and age of the child. Side Effects: Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and headache. Serious side effects can include allergic reaction, liver problems and heart issues Precautions: Before taking azithromycin, inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver problems, heart problems, or low levels of potassium or magnesium.
