Description Indication Galvus is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It can be used: As monotherapy in patients inadequately controlled by diet and exercise alone and for whom metformin is inappropriate due to contraindications or intolerance. Dosage Monotherapy or combination with metformin, thiazolidinedione, or insulin: 50 mg twice daily (one tablet in the morning and one in the evening), not exceeding 100 mg per day. Side Effects Common side effects include: Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycaemia) Dizziness Headache Constipation Upper respiratory tract infection Swelling of feet or lower legs Joint pain Precautions Allergies: Do not use if you are allergic to vildagliptin or any other ingredients in the tablet. Kidney or liver problems: Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver issues, as dosage adjustments may be necessary. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor.
