Description Indications: Treatment of epilepsy-related seizures. Dosage: Keppra comes in various strengths: 250 mg (blue), 500 mg (yellow), 750 mg (orange), and 1,000 mg (white) tablets. Also available as a clear, colorless grape-flavored liquid (100 mg/mL). Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, weakness, infection, loss of appetite, stuffy nose, tiredness and dizziness. These effects are more common during the first 4 weeks and usually lessen as your body adjusts to the medication. Precautions: Do not stop using Keppra suddenly; consult your doctor. Be alert for changes in mood or symptoms. Wear a medical alert tag or carry an ID card indicating Keppra use. Avoid driving or activities requiring alertness.
